Fiat is relaunching Abarth, its sports car division that specializes in both motorsports and general consumer sales. The first product, the Grande Punto, will rollout in Italy during September 2007 with plans to expand to additional markets in 2008. A company announcement indicates plans are also underway to launch three additional new products under the Abarth brand from September 2007 through December 2008. The redesigned Abarth will be owned by Abarth & CSpA, a wholly-owned subsidy of Fiat Group Automobiles.
