Christian Abt and his team will not sit idle for as long as Audi continues churning out new models every year. Following the launch of the A5 Coupe and Cabriolet the Ingolstadt firm announced the five-door Sportback version, much to ABT Sportline's delight. The engineers and designers went to work and came up with a new ABT front grille, skirt, rear wing insets and a rear skirt set. A four-pipe rear muffler helps emit what should be quite a heartening sound. The ABT wheels are diamond-cut, high-gloss polished or painted and measure in 18, 19 or 20-inch sizes. To add fun on the road an ABT suspension with branded springs and sport coilovers was fitted. Due to ABT's strong performance heritage the engines were also modified to go with their newly styled bodies. Bottom of the heap is the 2.0 TFSI which goes from a standard 132kW (180hp) to 202kW (275hp) and 320Nm of torque. The 3.0 TDI comes in two stages of tuning, one called ABT Power and the other ABT Power S. The former gives it 207kW (282hp) and 560Nm while the latter is good for 228kW (310hp) and a healthy 610Nm. Road performance figures were not released.
